THE THREE MOST USEFUL “AIR CLEANER” PLANTS IN OUR HOME

The heating season is upon us. From this period and in the next six months, we spend most of our time in closed rooms with as little aeration as possible. The same goes with our workplace, we breathe in a so called “closed” atmosphere.

More important than aeration of the room is the quality of the air we breathe. This is of the utmost importance. If we are unable to make an impact on the outside, we certainly can do something about it inside our homes.

There are three plants that affect the air we breathe:

1.Dypsis lutescens (a suitable plant for the living room)
Sansevieria trifasciata (a suitable plant for the bedroom)
2. Epipremnum aureum (a suitable plant for one purpose, which is to purify formaldehyde)
3.A useful byproduct from these plants is the oxygen they produce, mostly during the night.

These three plants in conjunction with a standard air purifier (which cleans particles in a mechanical way), can do something about a better quality air for us to breathe where it matters the most.
