  1. LEMON AND CLOVES

Cloves are something flies despise. Combined with lemon, they make a very powerful repellent.

You need:

  • Lemon
  • Cloves

Divide the lemon in two parts and stick the cloves inside the flesh. Keep the lemon on your tables.

  1. DIY SPRAY

All of the sprays we can buy in a supermarket are filled with harmful chemicals. This is a natural alternative that you should try right away as it’s very safe.

You need:

  • A cup of water
  • 10-12 drops of lemongrass oil
  • 2 t of diluted liquid dish soap
  • 10-12 drops of peppermint oil
  • Spray bottle

The water and soap should be combined in the bottle. Then, add both of the oils. Shake the bottle well. Spray it wherever you want to.

  1. DIY FLY TRAP

You can prepare a trap by blending ACV and dish soap in ne glass jar. Another thing you can do is to put a rotten fruit that you’ll chop into a bowl. Wrap the top with a plastic wrap. Create several holes.

Adding ACV into the soap will break the surface strain on the fluid. You’ll see the flies sinking down.

YOU NEED:

  • 2 cups of ACV
  • Plastic wrap
  • 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap
  • Mason jar
  • Toothpick

First, fill the jar with the ACV. Then, put the liquid soap. Close the top of the jar with a plastic wrap. Create holes using a toothpick.

You can put this in your garden or inside your home. The scent it will release will attract all the flies.

Clean the jar as soon as it’s filled with many dead flies.

YOU NEED:

  • Rotten Fruit
  • Bowl
  • Toothpick
  • Scissors
  • Plastic wrap

First peel the rotten fruit. Then, chop it into a bowl. Close the bowl using the plastic wrap. Create holes on the wrap. After there are many flies on the fruit, put the bowl into some soapy water. Wash it and use it whenever you need to!

  1. LAVENDER OIL

This kind of oil is characterized with a strong fragrance.

YOU NEED:

  • Sponge
  • Lavender oil
  • Jar

Apply several drops of oil on the sponge. Put it inside the jug. Close it well. Leave it to stay like that for several hours. Open it and put it anywhere at home or in the garden!

Eliminate any rotten fruit from your kitchen and clean the bowls.

Before you use the jar with liquid dish soap, wash it.

Use citronella or eucalyptus oils as fly repellents, too.

Prepare some potpourri with peppermint, lemongrass and dry lavender. They also repel flies.
